At East Sparta Church of God, it is our desire to help children learn about God and develop & grow a personal relationship with Christ through age-appropriate curriculum with stories from the Bible, praise & worship, and other fun activities. Along with our weekly classes, there are various events throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School, Easter & Christmas programs, and more.

The 4:12 Student Ministry name comes from 1 Timothy 4:12 which states, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
This embodies much of what this ministry is to be and do. We hope to disciple and equip our youth so that they have confidence in God, in their faith, and in themselves AND to live a holy, righteous, set-apart-from-the-world life by being an example to ALL believers in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith and purity. Our vision is to see students saved, set free, healed, discipled, equipped, and serving. It is our goal to see students reach their full potential in Christ by discovering their purpose and using their gifts to serve others.

Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry at East Sparta COG is committed to lifting up our congregation, community, and world in prayer, seeking God's guidance, healing, and intervention in every area of life. Our mission is to create a powerful and consistent culture of prayer, where individuals are encouraged to bring their needs, hopes, and praises before the Lord. Through prayer gatherings, intercessory prayer teams, and personal prayer support, we stand in faith, trusting in God's ability to transform lives. We believe in the power of prayer to bring about spiritual growth, restore relationships, and bring peace in times of trouble. Our ministry aims to foster a deep, ongoing connection with God while interceding on behalf of others.

The Outreach Ministry of East Sparta COG is dedicated to reaching beyond the walls of the church to serve and impact our local community and the world. Our mission is to share the love of Christ through compassionate service, evangelism, and outreach initiatives that meet both spiritual and practical needs. We aim to build meaningful relationships, provide support for individuals and families, and create opportunities for growth and transformation through the gospel. Whether through food drives, mission trips, community events, or personal outreach, we are committed to reflecting Christ’s heart for the lost, the hurting, and the marginalized, and equipping others to do the same.

Worship Arts
The East Sparta Church of God Worship Arts Department consists of individuals who are driven and passionate. Our mission is three-fold, first and foremost to serve God. We accomplish this through prayer, fasting, and study of scripture. Second, our choir is wholly inclusive. We stand on the fact that this group of musicians is a ministry outlet of the church. We strive to include all who desire to be a part, regardless of musical experience or knowledge. We want our team to be a place where people can come, feel included, and grow with us in Christ. Psalms 51:12 says “restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and make me willing to obey you”. The final fold of our mission is to extend beyond solely music ministry. We want to have an active place in our community, through service projects, missions, and overall community involvement. Worship Arts also includes sound and media teams who play a major role in every service. This department is ever evolving and includes additional outlets for worship through a variety of mediums, all for the glory of God.

Never Alone
The Not Alone Ministry exists to walk alongside widows with compassion, reminding them they are never forgotten and never alone. Rooted in the promises of Scripture, we provide spiritual encouragement, meaningful fellowship, and practical support for widows in our church and community.
Through shared connection, prayer, and acts of care, we seek to reflect the heart of Christ, who promises, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you” and “I will not leave you comfortless.” We desire to create a place where hope is restored, faith is strengthened, and every woman knows she is deeply loved and supported.
